Yoga increases flexibility and strength, enhances balance, and builds bone density—areas where we may notice differences as we grow older. In this gentle, slower-paced class, we’ll work towards a fuller range of bodily motion, as well as greater awareness of the breath and its impact on the body-mind. This class generally begins in a chair and progresses onto a mat, moving mindfully and using props like belts and cushions to gently open and stretch.
Evening Calm
This gentler, slower-paced practice soothes the nervous system and encourages your body-mind to wind down at the end of the day. Expect fewer flowing and standing asanas (postures), and more time on Pranayama (breathwork) and seated and reclining asanas. We’ll also remain longer in some postures–including Savasana (corpse)–to fully enjoy just how good they can feel. Join us Wednesdays to find your Evening Calm.
Lunchtime
Need a mid-day break? Whether you’re new to yoga or a long-time practitioner, come to this short and sweet flow class to bring movement into your body, breathe deeply, and find balance. Spend your lunch hour rejuvenating yourself, and feel grounded and energized for the rest of your day.
Morning Glow
Start your day the best possible way with attention to your breath and conscious movement to bring balance and energy to your body-mind. This gently flowing class will leave you feeling present, energized, and ready to step into the day ahead.
Yoga in the Park
Enjoy the sunshine on Mirror Lake while increasing your flexibility, strengthening body-mind connection, and cultivating calm. This 1-hour practice suitable for all ages, bodies, and levels will get your weekend off to the best possible start! (Please bring your own mat and water bottle. We practice on the grass and, in case of rain, move under the gazebo. directions here)
