Classes suspended

In light of the most recent developments within Alberta and Canada, along with the latest recommendations from Yoga Alliance, I have made the difficult decision to suspend all of Ahimsa Yoga with Deanna‘s in-person classes and workshops for the time being. While activity such as yoga is vital to our physical and mental health during this period of uncertainty, the potential risks entailed by in-person classes currently outweigh their benefits, particularly given that our provincial and federal leaders have so strongly recommended social distancing as the best means of minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in our area.

I am currently looking into options for teaching classes online and hope to have information for you shortly. In the meantime, if you hold a monthly unlimited pass, please rest assured that it will be placed on hold as of today so that you can pick it up right where you left off–through your choice of either online classes or in-person classes once they begin again. And please remember that 10-class passes have no expiration date, so you will be able to use them at any point online or in-person. If you registered for this coming weekend’s Spring Yoga Mini-Retreat, I will be in touch with you tomorrow about refunding your registration fee.

This was, as you can imagine, not an easy decision to make, and I will very much miss seeing all of you in person in the coming days. But, at a difficult time like this, the well-being of our yoga community, and the larger community of Camrose, is the utmost priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, remember that you are always welcome to e-mail me at deanna@ahimsa-yoga.ca or phone or text me at 780.678.6063.

I wish each of you peace and good as together we navigate the changes of the days ahead, and I hope to be in touch with you again soon about online classes.

Thank you, as always, for your kind understanding and support.

Namaste,

Deanna
